Double K System One Diving Backpack
PRE-ORDER NOW! (delivery ~ end. August)
The Double K System One Diving Backpack is a large, stylish freediving gear backpack for divers who want to carry fins, wetsuits, masks, snorkels and accessories in one clean setup.
This is not a small daypack and not a basic mesh bag. The System One is designed as a high-capacity diving backpack with enough space for serious freediving equipment — including up to two full sets of gear, depending on how you pack.
For the Swiss market, this bag makes especially good sense if you travel to the pool, lake or dive spot by bike, public transport or on foot. It gives you a more practical and much more stylish way to carry your equipment than loose bags or oversized generic sports luggage.
Why choose the Double K System One Diving Backpack?
Freediving gear is awkward to carry. Long fins, wetsuits, towels, masks, snorkels, socks, gloves and small accessories quickly become messy if you use separate bags. The System One Backpack solves that problem with a large main compartment, practical internal organization and a design that looks much cleaner than most high-volume dive bags.
The strongest argument is the combination of capacity, structure and style. Many large dive bags are practical but ugly. Many stylish backpacks are too small for real freediving equipment. The System One sits between both worlds: enough room for serious gear, but still wearable and visually cleaner than a bulky equipment sack.
Main benefits
- High-capacity freediving backpack for fins, wetsuits and accessories
- Designed to carry up to two full sets of diving gear, depending on packing layout
- 180° opening main compartment for easier packing and gear access
- Three multipurpose storage pockets for better organization
- Internal Velcro straps to help secure equipment during transport
- Separated storage concept for fins, suits and smaller items
- Thick shoulder pads to reduce shoulder strain
- Large but lightweight: approx. 98 × 28 × 25 cm and approx. 1.7 kg
- Good choice for bike, train and public transport when travelling to the pool, lake or dive spot
- More stylish than most large-volume dive bags
Made for freediving gear, not just clothes
The System One Backpack is built around the reality of freediving equipment. Fins are long, wetsuits are bulky, masks need protection and smaller accessories disappear quickly if the bag has no structure.
The large main compartment opens wide, making it easier to pack and remove equipment. Internal straps help keep gear in place, while additional pockets give you space for smaller items such as socks, gloves, lanyards, snorkels, mask boxes, nose clips or small training accessories.

Perfect for bike and public transport
For many freedivers in Switzerland, the real question is not only “does my gear fit?” but also “can I actually carry this to the pool, lake or train station?”
This is where the System One makes more sense than a normal hand-carry dive bag. You can wear it as a backpack, keep your hands free and move more easily when travelling by bike, train, bus or walking to the dive spot.
If you regularly train in the pool, dive in lakes or move between home, car, public transport and dive site, a backpack-style gear bag is simply more practical than dragging several separate bags around.
What fits inside?
Double K describes the System One Backpack as spacious enough for two full sets of gear. In practice, the exact packing capacity depends on fin length, wetsuit thickness and how many accessories you carry.
| Gear | Use case |
|---|---|
| Freediving fins | Main gear item. The long shape of the bag is designed for diving equipment rather than normal clothing only. |
| Wetsuit | Can be packed together with fins and soft equipment. |
| Mask and snorkel | Useful for complete pool or open-water setups. |
| Socks, gloves and hood | Can be stored in smaller pockets or separate areas. |
| Small accessories | Nose clip, lanyard, anti-fog, towel, water bottle or training items depending on packing style. |
| Second gear set | Possible depending on equipment volume, fin type and wetsuit thickness. |
Storage and organization
The System One Backpack is not just one empty compartment. It is designed with an optimized storage concept, including multipurpose pockets, internal straps and a wide-opening main storage area.
The 180° opening makes packing easier because you can open the bag flat instead of stuffing equipment blindly through a narrow top opening. This is especially useful when packing fins, wetsuits or multiple equipment sets.
The Velcro straps help keep items more stable during transport, reducing unnecessary movement inside the bag.

Care guide
Proper care matters because diving bags are regularly exposed to salt water, chlorine, moisture and wet equipment. Rinse and dry the bag after use to keep it in better condition for longer.

| Care step | Recommendation |
|---|---|
| Wash gently | Rinse lightly in cold or lukewarm water below 30°C. Do not use a washing machine. |
| Dry open | Remove excess water after rinsing and let the bag air dry naturally in the shade. |
| Avoid colour transfer | Store light-coloured products separately from dark-coloured items to reduce colour transfer risk. |
| Clean immediately | After use, rinse and dry the bag promptly. Long storage while wet can cause odour, stains, damage or discolouration. |

Kaluna Freediving Opinion
This is the right bag if you want one large, wearable and good-looking solution for your freediving equipment. The System One is more stylish than most large dive bags, but still practical enough for real gear.
The biggest advantage for Swiss customers is the backpack format. If you go to training by bike, train or bus, carrying loose fins, suit, mask and accessories is annoying. A large backpack is simply more usable and this is one of the best!
This bag makes the most sense for freedivers who train regularly, carry full equipment and want a cleaner setup than several separate bags. It is probably too large if you only need a small towel-and-mask pool bag. But for full freediving gear, it is exactly the kind of product that makes everyday training less chaotic.
