C4 Carbon - 1.5 mm Toe Socks
The C4 Carbon 1.5 mm Toe Socks are neoprene toe caps for freediving foot pockets. They are designed to improve hold around the toes, reduce unwanted movement in the front of the foot pocket and create a more direct connection between foot and blade.
Compared with ultra-thin 0.5 mm toe socks, the 1.5 mm version gives noticeably more volume, support and light padding in the toe area. Choose them when your fins have a little too much play around the toes or when tight foot pockets create pressure points that need protection.
This is a fit and power-transfer accessory, not a thermal sock. Its purpose is better toe hold, less slipping inside the foot pocket and more controlled force transfer during finning.
Why use 1.5 mm toe socks?
In responsive freediving fins, small fit problems matter. If the toes have too much space, the foot can move before the blade reacts. That reduces precision and makes the kick feel less direct.
The 1.5 mm Toe Socks add a targeted layer in the toe and forefoot area. This can improve hold, reduce toe play and protect against pressure points without adding bulk around the whole foot.
Main benefits
- 1.5 mm neoprene for more toe-area volume than 0.5 mm toe socks
- Improves hold in the front of the foot pocket
- Helps reduce unwanted toe play inside the fin
- Supports better power transfer between foot and blade
- Light padding against pressure points in tight foot pockets
- Toe-only design with less bulk than a full neoprene sock
- Smooth outside finish for easier entry into the foot pocket
- Lined inside for comfort against the skin
- Suitable for bifins and monofins with close or slightly loose toe fit
1.5 mm or 0.5 mm?
Choose 0.5 mm Toe Socks if your foot pocket fit is almost perfect and you only want minimal protection with maximum sensitivity.
Choose 1.5 mm Toe Socks if you want a stronger toe-area fit adjustment, less movement in the front of the pocket or more protection against pressure points.
If your whole foot pocket is too large, toe socks alone are not enough. In that case, use a thicker full-foot sock or choose a better fin size.
Size guide
| Size | EU shoe size |
|---|---|
| S | 36–39 |
| M | 40–43 |
| L | 44–46 |
Choose your normal EU shoe-size range. The toe sock should sit snugly on the toes and forefoot so it stays in place when entering the foot pocket.
Recommended fin pairings
These toe socks make the most sense with precise, responsive freediving foot pockets where fit and force transfer matter.
- C4 Protech Freediving Fins: a strong C4 pairing if you want more toe hold inside the C4 foot pocket and a more direct connection to the carbon blade.
- Double K Delfit Carbon Bifin: useful when you want a targeted toe-area fit adjustment without wearing a full sock.
- Cetma Taras Monofin: helpful when a close-fitting monofin pocket creates toe pressure or when you want a firmer front-foot connection.
- Cetma Taras Bi-Fins: suitable when you want less toe movement and better blade response in a high-performance foot pocket.

Kaluna Freediving opinion
This is the toe sock to choose when the front of the foot pocket has too much play or when you want a firmer, more controlled connection to the blade.
The 0.5 mm version is the minimal sensitivity option. The 1.5 mm version is the stronger fit option. It gives more hold around the toes and a little more protection in pressure areas, while still avoiding the bulk of a full sock.
If only the toe area needs adjustment, this is the sharper tool. If the whole foot rubs or the fin is loose everywhere, choose a full sock or reassess the foot pocket size.
FAQ
What are the C4 1.5 mm Toe Socks for?
They are for improving fit and comfort in the toe area of freediving foot pockets. They help reduce toe play, improve hold and protect against pressure points while keeping the rest of the foot free.
Are these better than 0.5 mm toe socks?
Not automatically. Choose 0.5 mm if you want the thinnest possible protection and maximum sensitivity. Choose 1.5 mm if you need more toe-area volume, more hold or more protection.
Do they improve power transfer?
They can help when the front of the foot pocket has too much play. By reducing movement around the toes, the connection between foot and blade can feel more direct.
Can they fix fins that are too large?
Only if the problem is small and mainly in the toe area. If the entire foot pocket is too large, toe socks are not enough.
Are they warm?
They add a little neoprene in the toe area, but they should not be treated as thermal socks. Their main purpose is fit, hold and pressure-point protection.
Can I use them with bifins?
Yes. They work well with close or slightly loose bifin foot pockets when you want better toe hold.
Can I use them with a monofin?
Yes. They are useful with monofins when you want more toe-area protection or a firmer connection inside the foot pocket.
Which size should I choose?
Choose your normal EU shoe-size range: S for 36–39, M for 40–43 and L for 44–46.
